5 tips to make your beach bar a success

Summer is a difficult time for a large part of the hospitality industry, but there is an exception: the beach bars! The sun, the beach and everything that has happened this year makes everyone eager to go to a beach bar. But how can you make a difference, do you want to make the most of it? Keep reading because this article is sure to interest you.

Here are the 5 fundamental aspects that you should take into account to set up or improve your beach bar.

Location of the beach bar.

The closer it is to the beach the better, beach bars are characteristic of coastal places, so the closer it is to the beach, the more differential value it will have.

Music to enhance the atmosphere.

We recommend you to play the HITS of this summer as well as those of the previous summer, a good summer is not conceivable without good music hits. This makes music a fundamental factor that promotes happiness and comfort inside your place.

It offers a personalized food service.

Don’t panic, we are not referring to a personalized meal for each person. But each place has a characteristic gastronomy and different climatic situations. So if we want our customers to enjoy a good meal, we must take care of it properly.

Chiringuito style

It is necessary to mark the difference, if there is one thing that many beach bars are guilty of, it is that they are very similar to each other, so that in the end, customers are not loyal to any of them.

We recommend you to mount something eye-catching, whether it is painting the facade in extravagant colors or decorating it with lights that help to attract attention.

Pay special attention to the materials with which you are going to build the beach bar, as the finish of these will determine the final appearance of it. Some materials that are widely used and that give very good results are wood, reed or heather roofs, etc.

As for the interior of the establishment, you can use LED or neon lights, it is also advisable to use wooden or glass perimeter fences, and finally, the use of plants always gives a fresh touch to the premises.

Customer service.

It may sound basic, but nowadays there are a lot of beach bars that don’t have this in mind. Queues form, people get angry, their demands don’t get through, etc. This in the end only creates a bad climate, and therefore, a reduction in the number of visitors.

All about detox diets!

Detox diets become very popular when summer arrives, so we could not miss a post on our blog for them.

Are you thinking of making one, do you want to know what they consist of? Keep reading, you won’t regret it!

What is “detox”?

The term detox refers to a ‘process in which someone abstains or eliminates toxic or unhealthy substances from their body’.

Purifying the body is a practice with centuries of tradition and has proven to bring very healthy benefits to the body.

So… What are detox diets?

Detox diets are based on cleansing juices and have become very popular in recent years thanks to their visible effects, both physical and mental. In addition to being very easy to perform, you only need a good blender to grind and make your favorite juices. From Yelow we recommend these two, the glass blender and the 50’s style blender, the latter is available in various colors, so choose your favorite.

They are generally made with organic ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, cereals, etc., and are especially recommended to cleanse the body and eliminate toxins, achieving a cleansing effect, while increasing the absorption of vitamins and antioxidant substances.

This depurative diet constitutes a healthy lifestyle with short-term results, thanks to the elimination of liquids, a minimum calorie intake and a minimum of carbohydrates.

How do you know if you should do one?

Our body suffers constant intoxication, both food and environmental, and this intoxication has a direct impact on our health, damaging it.

Every day, our body is exposed to a high level of toxin accumulation in a practically imperceptible way, but by paying attention, you can identify some symptoms that you need to purify your body. Such as:

  • Headaches
  • Digestive problems.
  • Overweight.
  • Stress or chronic fatigue.
  • Lack of energy and vitality.
  • Bad mood.
  • Dull or dry skin.

Benefits of detox diets

A detox diet is suitable at many times, but mainly after periods of excesses such as vacations, weekends, family parties, etc… Thanks to these diets you will be able to:

  • Feel lighter.
  • Increase your levels of well-being.
  • Eliminate fluid retention.
  • To help intestinal transit.
  • Rehydrate your skin.
  • Improve your nutritional intake.
  • Improve the quality of your sleep and rest.

New vs. second hand catering machinery

Are you thinking of starting a new business or changing and giving a new look to the one you have? It is at this point that the typical question arises: What to do with the machinery – buy new or second-hand?

In this article we offer you 5 keys to decide whether to buy new or used machinery.

Machinery warranties.

New products have a minimum warranty of 2 years. This allows you to maintain security when using it, because if any problem arises with the machine, you have a technical service behind you to solve it.

This is not the case with second-hand machines. They do not have a real warranty that covers repairs to the machine. So you may have to spend what you originally saved by buying a second-hand machine on repairs. It may also happen that the machinery is older than you think and has a shorter life than expected.

Technical service.

Once you have acquired any new machinery, you have a commercial company behind you that, in most cases, is in charge of training you in the use of the new machine, offers you a technical service and takes care of its maintenance.

If you decide to purchase second-hand machinery, it is usual that you do not have the necessary technical service to start up the machinery with guarantees.

yelow machinery

Technology.

If you buy a new generation machine, it will most likely have more features than older models, better energy efficiency, new cooking techniques, new functions to improve cleaning, etc.

Second-hand machinery, on the other hand, is often technologically obsolete.

Asymmetric information (Lack of information).

What criteria should we follow when buying second-hand machinery? To take our word for it from the seller and think that the machine has not suffered any breakdowns? Or how long the machine has been in use? At first glance, a second-hand machine we will not be able to tell if it is good or bad.

Economic savings.

This is the point where the acquisition of second-hand machinery stands out. Buying new equipment can be expensive, and it is obvious that the cost of a second-hand machine will be lower.

Product catalog.

It is more usual to find a new product or machinery at your trusted machinery supplier than to have to go to the second hand market, having to wait for the machine we want to buy, at the price we are willing to pay and with the determined time of use.

Remember that within the Yelow catalog you can find everything you need to open or renovate your hospitality business.

After these arguments for and against buying second-hand machinery, what do you prefer, do you prefer to have your machinery refurbished or to buy it second-hand?

Gaytan by Javier Aranda

Javier Aranda, the young and promising Spanish chef, who already has a Michelin Star to his credit, has just opened his second restaurant in Madrid, Gaytan.

To do so, he joined forces with Pilsa and we both achieved a real success. Gaytan is one of the most spectacular restaurants visually speaking that we have elaborated so far, and the elements used are not for less…

A bar composed of a champagne bar with smoke effect, welcomes diners, followed by a wine cellar fully integrated into the restaurant. Both designed and manufactured entirely by Pilsa.

“A good meal should always be accompanied by a good drink, at an ideal temperature.”

The most outstanding part of Gaytan is undoubtedly the kitchen. Being an open-plan restaurant, it is fully integrated into the space, without glass or any kind of separator between the dining room and the kitchen.

Rest. Gaytan

The Majestic kitchen designed and prepared by Pilsa to the taste of Javier Aranda, is located in the center of the space, delighting both the chef and his customers and allowing them to be part of the whole process. The gastronomic experience at Gaytan is enjoyed with all five senses.

Owning a kitchen like the Majestic not only provides the chef with the convenience of adapting to his needs, but also gives the restaurant a personal and innovative touch.

aranda2

Rest. Gaytan

But we had a challenge. Being an open-plan kitchen, as we have pointed out above, we had to avoid any kind of constructive element, so the kitchen is equipped with a filtering roof, so that in the cooking area is guaranteed total and balanced ventilation of the kitchen.

The rest of the kitchen support elements, such as auxiliary tables, are equipped with materials such as Dekton and Silestone, which adapt perfectly to the line that the chef wanted to follow in his establishment from the beginning.

Rest. Gaytan

If you have the opportunity, we invite you to visit Gaytan and enjoy not only the good service and the quality of its dishes, but also the great work done by the Pilsa team, creating unforgettable gastronomic experiences.

If you want to see all the photos of this project, don’t forget to visit our website.

Above all, we can highlight the kitchen which Pilsa has designed, elaborated and installed. It is the real protagonist at Gaytan, without a doubt. It is completely integrated into the space, no crystals or any separating element between customers and cooks.

The kitchen Majestic allows clients to be participants of the whole food process. For this reason, Gaytán clients enjoy a gastronomic experience with all their senses. Having a kitchen like the majestic not only allows chef adapted comfort to his needs, but also to give the restaurant the sophistication and innovative style.
