Hotel Camiral & Pilsa

Another project added to Pilsa’s portfolio. Last May concluded the refurbishment of what until recently has been the Hotel Resort PGA Girona, now called PGA Camiral Hotel. For those of you who don’t know it, it has been chosen as the best golf course in Spain, and the truth is that its facilities are not for less. But besides being one of the best golf courses in Europe, it is also a luxurious Resort.http://es.pgacatalunya.com/hotel/

On this occasion, Pilsa has contributed to the refurbishment of this Resort together with Tricon Foodservices Consultants UK. Together with them and their technical specifications, Pilsa has developed an economic offer that shortly after, was carried out.

Among the reforms carried out, we can start with the kitchen (Main Kitchen), which has been completely adapted to the needs of the hotel, and where Pilsa has developed and installed a central refrigeration unit. In the restaurant, the buffet has been completely refurbished, which now has a more modern and innovative line, as can be seen in the following photograph.

The buffet is composed of an innovative system of hot and cold tracks, as well as a wine cellar, fully integrated into the buffet, which in turn provides a wonderful view in the restaurant itself. As for the Lobby Bar, it is a complete installation carried out by the aforementioned consultants, who have managed to combine in a significant way both the needs of the hotel and its specifications.

Last but not least, there is the Pool Bar, with an integrated kitchen fully prepared by Pilsa.

In early October of this year, the Banquet kitchen is scheduled to be expanded to serve as a fully integrated celebration area.

Another Project has been joined to Pilsa portfolio. Last May finished the reform of PGA hotel, which calls PGA Camiral Hotel since then.

For those who don’t know about this hotel, it has been recognized as one of the best golf clubs in Spain, as evidenced by its excellent facilities. Besides being one of the best golf clubs in Europe, it is a luxurious hotel resort as well.

On this occasion, Pilsa has worked hand-to-hand with Tricon Foodservices Consultants Uk in order to unite economic and technical efforts in this amazing project. Among the reforms carried out we can highlight the main kitchen where Pilsa has elaborated and installed a control compressor rack. In the restaurant place we have entirely remodeled the buffet area. Now it shows more modern and innovative lines, as you can see in the photos bellow.

This buffet contains some developments such as hot and refrigerated plates as well as a wine cellar which is totally integrated in the restaurant. This, in turn, offers an excellent sight of the restaurant itself. Regarding the lobby bar, it is a complete installation of Tricon Foodservice Consultants Uk who has known how to join the needs and the requirements of the hotel.

Last but not least, we can find the Pool Bar which has a kitchen entirely made by Pilsa completely.

By the beginning of October, the hotel plans to expand its facilities with a Banquet kitchen, which will contain an integrated kitchen and where different events will take place.

KITCHEN FOR SOCIAL AND LABOR INTEGRATION

On January 13, 2016 began the social and labor integration course that both Pilsa and Obra Social La Caixa jointly carry out for the labor integration of people at risk of exclusion. All this, within the Incorpora Program that began in 2006 and promotes access to the labor market for people in situation or risk of exclusion.

Daniel Martos, Rubén Amador and Ana Muñoz are some of the 13 students who make up this group of people looking for a second chance. They had 180 hours of classes ahead of them. Ana Muñoz points out, “Learning is always important, and if you like it, all the better. Hopefully the course will open up other possibilities for us”. The students attended the cooking course given by Pilsa Educa, to provide them with the necessary tools and to be able to carry out practical training so that they can make their way into the labor market.

Javier Moreno Quiñones, director of the Granada business center at CaixaBank, said “this series of actions makes this bank different and that makes us, employees, feel different too”. Juan Manuel Morilla, a prestigious chef with several national and international awards, was the guest in charge of talking to the students about cooking. He encouraged the students and told them how interesting, beautiful and fun this profession can be.

Both Pilsa and Pilsa Educa have a commitment to the hospitality industry that is satisfied through actions of this caliber.

GULFOOD DUBAI FAIR 2016

This year Pilsa has participated in one of the most important fairs in the food industry in the Middle East, from February 21st to 25th, which this year celebrated its XXI edition.

We are talking about the Gulfood Fair held in Dubai, where we attended as partners of Almayara Group. It brings together manufacturers and distributors of equipment and service providers for the food and hospitality sectors, as well as thousands of visitors from around the world.http://www.gulfood.com/

We went there with one of our most striking products, a champagne cooler used in some of our projects in luxury resorts, made of Corian material, but which in turn can be customized in sizes, materials and shapes to suit the customer’s taste, demonstrating one of our main purposes,“customization of projects to suit the customer’s taste”.

This fair provides a fantastic opportunity to learn first-hand about the new trends in this sector, which is so booming, so that we can adapt our products to all of them and keep up to date, offering our customers the best solutions at all times.

Our General Manager Ricardo Gonzalez and Fernando Moreno, EMEA Business Development Director, attended the event, where they had the opportunity to share a stand with our local partner in the Emirates, the AMTC Group, represented by its General Manager Mr. Atti Assi.

This year Pilsa has taken part in the21stanniversaryof Gulfood, one of the most important food fairs of the Middle East. This was held from 21thto25thFebruaryin Dubai. As partners of Almayara Group we could attend in one of the most important fair of this sector.

It gathers manufactures, distributors and suppliers to food and hospitality sectors of the world together with many visitors. Pilsa showcased one of our products, a custom made bottle display used in some of our projects in luxury resort.

The purpose of this particular unit is to be a counter for Champaign bottles. This unit is made of Corian, but other materials, shapes and sizes are available for the purpose of “customizing projects to our clients”.

This Fair provided us a good chance to meet new trends of this growing sector and adapt our products to it in order to offer our customers the best solution in each moment.

Our managing director, Ricardo Gonzalez and our business development director EMEA, Fernando Moreno, travelled to the place where they could share stand with our Middle East partner, AMTC Group represented by his managing director, Mr. Atti Assi. There were many companies which visited us and we expect to keep closer business relationship nearby.

New Cash & Carry in Marbella

Recently, at our headquarters in Marbella, we have opened a new Cash & Carry with more than 3,000 references available to hospitality professionals, and also to individuals.

From tableware or glassware to consumables, cleaning supplies or work uniforms, without forgetting the wide range of professional machinery. You will find everything in our perfectly organized showroom to facilitate the search for our products.

Pilsa attends the “Ambiente” trade fair in Frankfurt

Pilsa attended from February 12 to 17 to the Houseware Fair in the German city of Frankfurt, where we have been able to check the novelties of the sector, negotiate conditions with current suppliers for the different destinations where Pilsa has Delegation, solve incidents that arose during the past year, close distribution agreements with potential suppliers, as well as lay the foundation stone of new designs to be developed with suppliers for our supplies. The meeting was attended by Salvador García (Delegate of the Caribbean Zone), Miguel Ángel López (Director of the Houseware Division) and José Manuel Rovira (Purchasing Director).

Undoubtedly, it is essential for us to be present at this type of events, to keep up to date with everything that is happening in the sector and to be able to continue to evolve and grow as we have done so far.
